This Week’s Favorite Things; Visible Monday Reminder

It’s been a busy week. We have put in a contract on a new condo, one floor up. That means a lot when you’re living on the edge of the sea. Sandy’s dad’s memorial service is tomorrow and he’s been scanning hundreds of images to create a slide show. Seeing their family photos through the years is an emotional process for both of us. Sandy was the baby, the cutest kid, says me.

A few of the many favorite things that made me smile this week:

An adorable tea towel, gifted to me by my friend and fellow blogger Ally. It’s now hanging on my kitchen wall, too pretty to dry my dishes with:

Mine has a different print but similar colors, so pretty. Find here.

King’s “full belly” stretch. Sandy sent me this pic while I was away so I wouldn’t forget how totally handsome is my little man:

Summer dresses. I saw several beauties worn by Suzanne on our trip, and lots of airy dresses can be found in the shops:

Pale nails. I got a manicure at the airport – yes the airport, where they also do massages and pedicures. Doesn’t that sound like a spoiled American? The nail tech said pale nails elongate the look of my hands, and now I am sold. My reds will be back in the Fall:

What’s made you happier this week?

  1. Sounds like your week has definitely been very emotionally charged – putting together a memorial for someone you loved brings up such a mix of emotions.
My week was kind of a blur, but a brief visit to Stratford to visit my mother yesterday was lovely, but then the news of Bill Cunningham’s passing added a very sad note to the day.

  2. Good luck with the memorial. Trying times and I wish you all the best for you and your family. I always want to frame my funky tea towel. There really are some beautiful ones! I’m popping by tomorrow to see everyone visible. See you then xx

  3. Putting together slide shows of someone lost is always so emotional.

Meeting up with both you and Ally was my highlight of last week.

My favourite moments of this week included a few unexpected gifts from bloggy friends and discovering some new ideas and reviving some enthusiasm for blogging via an online course.

My least favourite moment was realizing the “health bread” recipe I made from Pinterest was a total bust. Even the squirrels won’t touch it. I should have known just by the name, health bread, it’s an oxymoron.

I love these other tea towels you’ve picked out!

    bisous
    Suzanne
