Real Life Fashion Show: We Dress Up

It’s the time of year when we have lots of reasons to dress up fancy, and you know the women of Visible Monday do it best. With a few years of seasoning on us, we know how to add a flourish and a personal touch to our dressy looks. This week we got to see sequins, lace, faux fur, jewels, chic hair, and elegant shoes.
As always, the first tip is: dress up fancy in the ways you love, styled the way you like, and own your look. Confidence is all.

And there’s always room in my closet for something fancy, even if I wear it with my denims:

Greetje from No Fear Of Fashion is lovely by the fire in a new midnight blue sequined top. Her simple pleated skirt keeps her look elegant and classic. And I am loving those shoes; Greetje has the best shoes:

Tamera of Tamera Beardsley has a vintage flair, and this outfit’s a splendid example. She bought her new skirt at Anthropologie and the print is phenomenal, so feminine. Add her poet-style blouse and signature hat, and she is dressed-up and totally authentic.

Sheila of Ephemera shopped her closet for this party look, and it’s fab. I love navy and black together, and Sheila says the skirt has a swoosh factor of 10. The shoes are killer, as we’ve come to expect from Sheila. Lovely to see Vizzini the wonder-cat too.

Gorgeous Samantha of Fake Fabulous started with a breathtaking full-length dress and added a peacock feather hairpiece, box clutch, and awesome purple be-jeweled pumps. The red lips are a standout too.

  2. I really love all of these dressed-up looks. There’s something irresistible about the anticipation of a party and the ritual of getting ready. Wearing special things always adds a spring to my step.

  3. Happy New Year, Patti. All these ladies look fabulous, don’t they. I love Greetje’s blue and camel outfit…especially her sequinned top. And Sam always looks adorable.
