Like you, I enjoy finding a great brand at a bargain price. Eileen Fisher is one of those brands that I love for its simplicity, natural fabrics, and good construction. I usually stalk their pieces on sales or on eBay but this knit number fell right into my lap – literally – while sorting clothes at the Thrift. (We do pay for the clothes we take home, so there’s no shorting the charity!)

Always room in my closet for a simple knit dress:

Welcome to Visible Monday. If you want to participate, it’s so easy: just go to the bottom of this post for the how-to. Please be kind and leave a link to Not Dead Yet Style in your post.

This navy cotton knit dress is soft, easy to wear, and has enough personality to stand on its own, with flat sandals and red lipstick. But today I tried out a few new looks. The bulky faux pearls (similar) plus arty pendant (sim) make the dress ready for dinner out with friends. Strip the jewelry, and add a simple shell-and-fabric belt (sim), and it’s got a go-anywhere, even ride-your-bike vibe.

The fun of thrifting – it never gets old.

Almost-antique suede sandals (sim) – I just can’t quit you.

The belt reverses to a blue-green cotton fabric, also works with this dress.

The guidelines to participate in the Visible Monday Link-Up are so simple:

    1. Whoever wants to can join in! Just compose a post that includes any outfit, accessory, piece of jewelry, hairstyle, cosmetic or other adornment that makes you feel more confident, alive and visible that day.
    2. Include a link to Not Dead Yet Style somewhere in your post.
    3. Go to the bottom of this post and click on the InLinkz button “Add Your Link”. It should open a new page.
    4. In the “Next Step”, you crop the pic (easy tool) you want to display, and you’re done!

  1. I love the simple Grecian look to this dress, Patti and the colour rocks.
I don’t know the label but you can tell it’s posh! xxx

  2. ooo Patti, that is a pretty dress. For a moment I thought you were going to keep on stylin’ that beauty one after another ala Mel. I’m sure it has endless possibilities.

  3. How nice of this dress to fall right into your lap! I wouldn’t mind at all if some day such a stunning beauty falls into mine. πŸ™‚ Love the way you accessorized with two necklaces! Really pretty.

  4. Jersey dresses are the best. I remember reading a story about Bruce Oldfield and how his jersey dresses were always bestsellers, season after season. And yet they never once walked the runway. Many people don’t realise that there is one very important collection from every single designer, that most of us do not see but purchase from, and that is the Commercial Collections. It’s easy to see why jersey dresses form the backbone (almost) of these lines πŸ™‚ xoxo

  5. I agree on Eileen Fisher stuff. Very nice. That dress looks so comfortable and I love the color. I also really like how you added those two different necklaces. An interesting combination that works nicely.

  6. I have one Eileen Fisher oversized top from the thrift shop – the fabric is sinfully luxurious. I can see why you love this dress. You show how easy it is to wear many different ways and stay cool. Thanks for the linkup, Patti!

  7. I love a dress that you can throw on and get out the door πŸ™‚ Plus, love the royal blue color !!

    Monica.

  8. Funny Patti, my mom was just visiting and we were talking about Eileen Fisher as my mom has this amazing coat by her! Love this rich blue on you and I could stare at those sandals for awhile. Love the design! Great addition of color wit the belt! Looking lovely!

  10. I so fall in love with simple dresses when I see them and totally rock them all year round. But I constantly try to stop myself from adding more than I need. Nice find!

  11. Great dress – I love the color on you! How wonderful that it fell into your lap! And it looks great with the necklaces as well as with the belt!

Thanks for the linkup & have a wonderful week!

  12. Wow, what a find! It’s a perfect color and style on you! Hooray for thrift shop bargains!

  13. Dang, I was trying to add another image but it won’t let me use the same URL. Anyways, pfft, the leopard will have to do -I’m sure you don’t need a picture of my tattoo on your blog, Patti! πŸ™‚ Thank you so much for hosting!

Looking lovely in this rich blue! Gotta love those comfy dresses!

  14. What a fabulous dress Patty. The colour and shape are lovely. Wonderful too that it supports the charity. Thank you for hosting the link xxxx
