I love lace-with-something-else. A lace tee with boyfriend jeans, a lace skirt with a graphic tee. Lacy tights with oxfords. I enjoy the juxtaposition of traditionally feminine lace plus modern pieces.

Welcome to Visible Monday. If you want to participate, it’s so easy: just go to the bottom of this post for the how-to. Link back to Not Dead Yet Style if you like – we’re on Easy Does It “rules” now!

The sleeveless grey dress here (similar) is one of my summer favorites. It’s by a new-to-me brand, Mado Et Les Autres. I found it at our Molly Mutt thrift and fell for the ruffled skirt and perfect knee length. I have so many lightweight tops that can be worn over the dress, to make fresh looks. Today I chose a vintage-style lace tank (sim) and I think it goes, if not “matches”.

The pretty green pendant (sim) was a gift from Sandy, and the vintage bracelet is from Citizen Rosebud‘s shop. Hair is the Paige by Paula Young.

  1. Thank you for hosting Patti. That black and beige(?) color makes for a very classy yet a bit edgy mix because of the pattern. I got a vintage lace skirt a while ago at a store in Berlin and love wearing it with any kind of top. Its fun…Wishing you a lovely week. Weather of here is just plain awful. Very humid. But things are looking up for next week 🙂 xo Sabina

  2. I totally get that juxtaposing thing, hard/soft, feminine/masculine, lacy/bold. This combo looks great, and I sense a ’20s vibe. Niiiice. Thanks for the linkup, Patti.

  12. Funny thing, I just started appreciating lace this year. And I agree, with jeans-I actually am wearing it with some pretty distressed jeans today.
